Two professional vloggers, Emily and Jordan, recently enjoyed a Smoky Mountain vacation and chose to stay at The Lodge at Five Oaks! Emily and Jordan’s Trip to Sevierville
Emily and Jordan are professional vloggers who planned an escape to the Smoky Mountains for a few days! We loved having them stay with us at our Sevierville hotel and are so glad they got to experience all the excitement that’s just minutes away from our hotel. Emily and Jordan visited the Ogle Brothers General Store and Cruze Farm, which are both right next door to The Lodge at Five Oaks! They also explored the Alcatraz East Crime Museum and The Island, played mini golf at Ripley’s Old MacDonald’s Farm, shopped at Tanger, visited the Adventure Park at Five Oaks, and more. On the third day, they headed to Gatlinburg to walk the Strip, dine at Bones BBQ Joint and visit Anakeesta! Here are some of the highlights of Emily and Jordan’s visit:
Ogle Brothers General Store
Right next door to our hotel is Ogle Brothers General Store, the number 1 place to shop in the Smoky Mountains! This store is not your typical souvenir shop and has everything from clothes to locally made arts and crafts and other items that represent the Ogle family and Smoky Mountain spirit. Emily and Jordan loved watching pottery being right before their eyes! Ogle Brothers General Store has a local artisan who makes handcrafted pottery in the on-site pottery studio, so each piece is one-of-a-kind. This Smoky Mountain shop also has a sweets section with free samples, candy, fudge and more, as well as other items you’ll love. As you browse the shop, you’ll feel like you’re a part of the Ogle family!
Cruze Farm
After Emily and Jordan went shopping at Ogle Brothers, they walked next door to Cruze Farm! Cruze Farm serves up freshly churned ice cream that’s made with milk from a family-owned dairy farm in Knoxville TN. Emily tried gingerbread and sugar cookie dough ice cream and loved it! Some of the most famous flavors at Cruze Farm are sweet cream and brown butter, but you can’t go wrong with any flavor.
Five Oaks Farm Kitchen
Emily and Jordan’s vacation wouldn’t have been complete without enjoying a meal at Five Oaks Farm Kitchen. The two walked right across the street from our Sevierville hotel to the restaurant for a delicious dinner that they rated a 10 out of 10! Five Oaks Farm Kitchen serves up all your Southern favorites, like pot roast, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings and pulled pork. If you visit for breakfast, be sure to try the famous cinnamon roll! Five Oaks Farm Kitchen carries on the legacy of Dr. John and Blanche Ogle, whose hospitality was known throughout the county. You can expect warm hospitality and down-home Southern cooking when you visit this Sevierville restaurant.
